Toronto Public Library asked to remove Dr. Seuss’ ‘Hop on Pop’ because of violent themes


Now I’ve heard it all. This is just beyond ridiculous. The Toronto Public Library was asked to pull copies of “Hop on Pop” by Dr. Seuss because it “encouraged children to use violence against their fathers.” I would like to think that someone made this complaint as a joke, but knowing what I do about people, I’m sure it’s for real. Seems like the only thing people can do these days is find things to complain about or be offended by. Maybe someone should also file a complaint about “Green Eggs and Ham”, as it encourages people to eat food that might possibly be spoiled, thus making them ill.
