Lonely men are increasingly turning to Siri for love and ‘sexually explicit’ chat
Remember that movie "Her" from a few years ago, where JOAQUIN PHOENIX falls in love with the female voice coming from his computer and phone? Apparently that's already gone from science fiction to reality.
According to some technology experts, people are starting to fall in love with Siri, Cortana, Alexa, and all of the other virtual assistants.
A guy named Ilya Eckstein runs a company that develops virtual assistant technology. He says, quote, "This happens because people are lonely and bored. It's a symptom of our society." He estimated that one out of THREE things people say to their phone's virtual assistant is conversational and not a command like "Set my alarm for 9:30 A.M." or "Call my office."
And since people are developing actual feelings toward their computers . . . the obvious next step is SEX. Approximately 5% of the things people say to their assistants are now SEXUAL.
