Exotic Animal Chase Leads To Central Valley Chaos
First it was a bobcat. Then a bull. Yesterday? A Patagonian Mara.
For the third time in a week, police and animal control had their hands full trying to wrangle an exotic animal that was running loose on the Valley streets. Yesterday afternoon, it was a Patagonian Mara, native to South America, that was spotted in the area of Sahara and Decatur, NV.
Police have no idea where the animal came from, but some people reported seeing it dumped out of a car near the intersection. No one was hurt in the chase, and the animal was sent off to get checked out. Police think the animal may have been dinged by a car during the chase.
