Metallica will be hitting the road for their WorldWired Tour soon, and for those of us who aren't getting a show (like here in  NC!), the band has a little treat. On May 9th, Metallica will stream a rehearsal from Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium. Click here foe details.   Fans of one of classic rock’s all-time great acts, Foghat, have a lot to look forward to this year, the 40th anniversary of Foghat’s Double Platinum album FOGHAT LIVE!  To celebrate the occasion these veteran rockers are releasing LIVE AT THE BELLY UP yet another great live performance from last year’s show at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, California. And for the 2017 tour these road warriors will be playing the entire 1977 LIVE album in their set to continue the party! LIVE AT THE BELLY UP, issued in February digitally, will drop on June 30th on Foghat Records as a CD version. In anticipation of the June 30th physical release, Foghat is launching a campaign through PledgeMusic for fans to pre-order the CD along with exclusive “Foghat LIVE at The Belly Up” custom merchandise and experiences for purchase.   Former VAN HALEN bassist MICHAEL ANTHONY lost his infant grandson to a heart condition.  The family is raising money in the boy's name, and it looks like Sammy Hagar gave $1,000, and David Lee Roth trumped him with $10,000.   PAUL MCCARTNEY tops a list of the richest people in music in the U.K.  He's followed by Andrew Lloyd-Webber, U2, Elton John, and Mick Jagger.   Warrant are prepping for the May 12th release of their new Louder Harder Faster album  by releasing the video fro the title track. The current Warrant lineup features original members Erik Turner, Jerry Dixon, Joey Allen and Steven Sweet along with singer Robert Mason.   Steve Perry fans are still disappointed that he didn't perform with Journey at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Drummer Steve Smith spoke recently about the rumors that perry would perform. Smith said: “There’s really not much of a story there. We asked him if he wanted to sing, and he declined – he said no, but that he would be there.” Europe has posted some news on the band's Facebook page: FRIENDS! We have just finished the recording for our new album at the legendary Abbey Road Studios! It turned out so much more exciting than we expected! The vibe in this studio is great! The staff and facilities are out of this world. Of course we couldn’t resist having some fun with vintage equipment and amazing recording techniques. Our producer Dave Cobb really made the songs fly, beautifully engineered by Eddie Spear.
The album is due out in October with one or two tracks coming your way ahead of release. Prior to the release we will also post clips/pics from the recording session here on our Facebook page. Meanwhile we're getting ready to hit the road again for our "Electric Summer tour 2017". Looking forward to seeing you all out there!
