The 25th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Is Saturday
If you received a plastic bag in your mailbox this week, don't throw it away.
The US Postal Service is hoping you'll fill it with canned goods as part of the organization's 25th annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive. Since the program began, the postal service has collected more than 1.5 billion pounds of food.
On Saturday, May 13, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Food Drive will once again spread out across America to help provide assistance to Americans who are struggling with hunger. The Food Drive effort is the nation's largest single-day drive. In 2016, 80 million pounds of food was collected, which brought the grand total of donations to more than 1.5 billion pounds of food collected since the drive began in 1992.
