Greenville Police rescue child left in hot car
Greenville Police have arrested a mother after a 2-year-old boy was rescued from a hot car, where temperatures reached between 104-116 degrees.
Police said in a press release they were called to the car on Thursday at 1:49 p.m. at Zoe's Kitchen and Ulta Beauty, located at 3120 Evans St. They responded to a report of a child left in a hot car.
Ashley Caroline Garris, 21, was arrested after she returned to the car at around 2:17 p.m. It was determined the child had been left alone in the car for at least an hour while she went shopping.
