NO PURCHASE NECESSARY  PARTICIPATION: Sweepstakes begins on or about August 21, 2017 and concludes on or about February 4, 2018 and is open to all residents of Eastern North Carolina, except employees and immediate family members of WSFL, Curtis Media Group, their agencies and anyone involved in this contest's production, development or handling. Entrants who reside outside the designated area may enter the contest, but are not eligible to win prizes. By entering, participants agree to these rules and to release, discharge and hold harmless WSFL, Curtis Media Group,  their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies and prize suppliers from all claims and damages arising out of entrant's participation in this contest and/or use/acceptance of any prizes. TO ENTER & WIN YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER ON September 7, 2017. After accepting the rules, provide all of the information requested on the Official Entry Form, and click the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page. A password and game access link will be sent to the email address contained in your entry form. You may also enter the contest each week by placing your selections on a 3x5-inch index card and mailing it to: Beat The Broadcasters - WSFL, 207 Glenburnie Drive, New Bern, NC 28560. Deadlines for submissions on the Internet will be one hour prior to each game of the week. Deadline for entries received by mail or other delivery is 5pm on the business day preceding the first game of the week. All winning entries will be posted on the WSFL Beat The Broadcasters web page. The contest is limited to one entry per person for each week. In the case of multiple entries, the last received entry will be accepted and replace any earlier entries. Incorrect phone or email information will result in entrant's disqualification. Curtis Media Group, WSFL and its sponsors assume no responsibility for entries or mail that is lost, postage due, stolen, late, misdirected, incomplete, not legible, or if they contain errors. If for any reason the Internet is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or other causes beyond the control of WSFL which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, WSFL reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. By taking part in this contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and all decisions of the judging organization. SELECTION OF WINNERS/VALIDATION: Weekly winner: The contestant recording the most number of points/wins each week (not the person with most points total, the one who gets the most in that single week)  will receive a $25 Time Out Tavern gift certificate. The Grand Prize Contest: The contestant recording the most number of points/wins over the weeks of regular season, playoffs and championship game will be the Grand Prize winner. If a tie still exists for the grand prize or weekly winners, the tiebreaker will determine the winner. In the event of a double tie, the winner(s) will be randomly selected from those in the tie. NO RESPONSIBILITY IS ASSUMED for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries: or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or electronic entry to be received by WSFL on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web-site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest. PRIZES & ODDS: The Grand Prize will be a combination of cash and other prizes valued at approximately $900 total.  If any prize becomes unavailable, Sponsor may award substitute of equal or greater value. When required by law, the winner of any prize will receive an IRS form 1099 for the value of that prize, and that amount will be reported to the IRS. CLAIMING PRIZES: Winners must pick up their prizes in person within 30 calendar days at the WSFL Offices, 207 Glenburnie Dr, New Bern, NC 28560. Valid government issued picture ID and Social Security number will be required to claim any prize, and winners may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Compliance with these Official Rules and a Liability/Publicity Release or an alternate winner may be selected. CHANGES & MODIFICATIONS: WSFL reserves the right to modify or change the contest, rules, and prizes at any time without notice. Taxes and Liability: Payment of all federal, state and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner.  Contest winnings will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service and winners can expect to receive a 1099 tax form for prizes which total more than $600 for the year. By participating in the contest, contestant agrees to have his or her name, voice, photo or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation. By participating in the contest, contestant hereby releases and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless WSFL, its licensee, affiliates, parents, assigns, successors, employees, sponsors, agents and all others connected with them and the contest from any and all liability, claims, actions and damages sustained or incurred by participation in the contest and the receipt and use of any prize awarded (if any) through such contest arising in any manner whatsoever. Contest winners will be selected and notified of their prize in the manner announced by the WSFL.  Contest winners (and their guests or travel companions, if any) may be required, in WSFL’s sole discretion, to sign a liability release and a publicity release.  Pursuant to the liability release, the winners will agree to hold WSFL, its licensee, parents, affiliates, assigns, successors and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.  Any person who refuses to sign the release will forfeit any and all prizes. WSFL will be excused from its obligation to air the contest if its performance is delayed or prevented due to causes beyond its control, including, but not limited to acts of God, public enemies, war, civil disorder, fire, flood, hurricanes, explosion, labor disputes or strikes, and any acts by any governmental authority. WSFL, its licensee, affiliates, parents, assigns and successors are not responsible for failure to conduct or for alterations to the contest due to circumstances beyond the control of any such entity. Decisions of WSFL management with respect to the contest are final. WSFL reserves the right to end a contest or amend these rules upon announcement on air or publication at Station’s website. WSFL reserves the right to make changes to the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement. WSFL is not responsible for any prizes or certificates lost or stolen after the winner has claimed them from the station. Prizes are awarded ‘as is’ with no guarantees or warranties as to use.  Acceptance of a prize releases WSFL, its sponsors and advertisers from all liability and claims concerning the prize, its delivery, and its use. WSFL is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.  WSFL is not responsible for (i) lost, stolen, mutilated, misdirected, postage due, illegible, incomplete or late entries; (ii) telephone or mobile service outages, delays, busy signals, facsimile transmission errors, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call or from sending a text message (if applicable, message and data rates may apply, and WSFL is not responsible for any fees incurred by an entrant for this method of entry); (iii) entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties or other technical difficulties. By participating in this contest, listeners agree to be bound by these rules.  Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification, at the sole discretion of WSFL. Contestants are required to provide truthful information and WSFL will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent.  WSFL will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and WSFL will also delete any online entry knowingly received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. Any materials submitted become the property of WSFL and will not be returned. No purchase is necessary.  The contest is void where prohibited. Contests and promotions are subject to all federal, state and local laws. WSFL reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend a promotion, game or contest should a virus, bug, computer or other problem beyond the control of the station corrupt the administration, security or proper execution of game or contest.  WSFL, in its sole discretion, may award prizes to entries received by alternate means.  All Internet participants agree to be bound by these rules, and the Official General Rules appearing above. To enter online, you must enter your first name and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, home telephone number and a valid email address in the online entry form.  One Internet entry per person and one Internet entry per email address.  Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry.  The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible by assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address.
