Original MOLLY HATCHET guitarist DAVE HLUBEK has died at the age of 66.  The band confirmed his passing on their Facebook page: "It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of our beloved friend and band member Dave Hlubek. Dave was one of the founding lead guitarists of Molly Hatchet. Amongst his many contributions to southern rock is 'Flirtin' with Disaster.' Our condolences and our prayers go out to his family during this time of loss. He will be missed but never forgotten, as the music lives on through his legacy in Molly Hatchet." - Bobby Ingram ***************************************** METALLICA fans have something to put on their Christmas lists. The band will reissue their third album, Master of Puppets on November 10th. It's been remastered and will be available in multiple formats. ***************************************** STEELY DAN guitarist WALTER BECKER died on Sunday.  He co-founded the band with DONALD FAGENin 1972.  Walter was 67.  There's no cause of death yet, but he'd been suffering from an undisclosed illness ***************************************** New material from THE YARDBIRDS is on the way, featuring JIMMY PAGE. Yardbirds ’68 features a set of live material, as well as alternate takes and demos. ****************************************** JOE PERRY from AEROSMITH is working on a tune for the new SpongeBob SquarePants musical, and he’s also featured on the new BILLY RAY CYRUS album, Set the Record Straight, which will be out on November 10. ******************************************

There's been a rumor going around that ALEX LIFESON and GEDDY LEE  from RUSH are going to continue on without NEIL PEART, in a band called LeeLifeson.  Apparently, it's not true.
