Random Junk
Random Junk
This is where you'll be able to find links and pictures of things I have
talked about on the air, plus other random junk....hence, the name.
What if Morgan Freeman, Kevin Klein, Robert DeNiro and Michael
Douglas starred in "The Hangover"? Get ready for "Last Vegas", in
theaters November 1 - here's the first trailer
The Foo Fighters are one of the many guests joining John Fogerty on his new
album, "Wrote A Song For Everyone," due May 28. John teamed up with the
Foos at their studio to record CCR's 1969 anti-war anthem "Fortunate Son,"
and is sharing a video preview of the session.
Some folks thought their neighbors were sneaking over and using their
pool when they weren't home, so they set up a video camera to catch
'em in the act. Well, they did catch someone, but not who they
thought!
Chris Hadfield, Commander of International Space Station Expedition
35 is now back on earth, but he ended his time on the space station by
paying tribute to David Bowie.
Want to see what Robert Plant is doing these days? He's touring with
his band The Sensational Space Shifters, and during a recent show
they covered a Zep tune in a very cool and unique way - enjoy!
I absolutely hate it when celebs pull the "do you know who I am?"
card. Hey, you're a person, just like everybody else. This is the dash
cam video from when Reese Witherspoon went off on the cops as her
hubby was arrested for DUI. Funniest part is what he says at the end!
Sometimes when you're on the air, you just have to roll with whatever
happens. Some people do it better than others, and this gal right here,
well, I think she's awesome!
As anyone who has ever heard me talk about football knows, I love Peyton
Manning. In addition to being a stellar QB, I think he's just an all around good
guy who gives time and money to charity, and is willing to have fun and make
jokes at his own expense. There was a big event at the Children's Hospital in
Indianapolis recently, and while Peyton wasn't on the bill to "perform", he did
get up on stage and belt out some Johnny Cash.
Zoe Thomson is nine now, but this video was taken when she was
seven - holy crap! This girl can rock!
Thursday night the Foo Fighters inducted Rush into the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame, and they decided to take it to the next level with a great
performance AS RUSH! It's pretty cool, and it appears the real Rush
got a kick out of it too.
I needed a laugh today, and it was provided by Harrison Ford and
Jimmy Kimmel. No Star Wars questions!!!!!
It gave me chills to watch this video. At the Bruins game, the
jumbotron showed photos from the Boston bombings, then Rene
Rancourt starts to sing the "Star Spangled Banner" - the fans join
in until the whole arena is singing
I have always wanted an old school Mustang! It was April 17, 1964,
that Ford put the first Mustang on sale to the public. It was displayed
at the Worlds Fair in Flushing Meadows, New York. It was $2368 - holy
crap!
And from Mustangs Daily - check their web page for more!

Have you seen the "Kickalicious" video? This Norwegian kicker, Harvrad
Rugland, has been an internet sensation, and now he's been signed by
the Lions.
Van Halen does an acoustic take of "You Really Got Me"
This made me laugh. Maybe Kmart is getting a sense of humor!
Kid Rock performed a very laid back version of "All Summer Long" on Jimmy
Kimmel - makes me wanna go to the beach!
There's nothing quite like bringing home a new puppy, unless your sweet baby turns out to
be something else entirely. There's a big scam going on in Argentina where animal lovers
looking for a deal on adorable toy poodles are actually ending up bringing home ferrets
pumped up on steroids! Poodles usualy run around $1000 in this area, and these little
beasties were being sold for $150.

Call me crazy, but I have a hard time believing anyone could be fooled by this fluffy
imposter on the right. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Read more
about the scam by clicking here
College football teams are practicing and preparing for the upcoming season,
and the Nebraska Cornhuskers had a scrimmage on Saturday in front of
60,000 fans. The highlight of the game was when a seven-year-old kid named
Jack Hoffman got to come onto the field. Jack had a golf-ball-sized tumor
removed in 2011, and he's still undergoing treatment for cancer. He became
friends with some of the Nebraska players while undergoing 60 weeks of
chemotherapy. The team invited Jack to run a play in their spring scrimmage.
They called a play, the quarterback handed him the ball, and Jack ran 69
yards for a touchdown!
Congrats to the Pirates of ECU on their CIT Championship!!! It
was a three-point buzzer beater that clinched the win - check
out the video
David Lee Roth spoke to the Huffington Post recently about the good old, bad
old days of Van Halen, and he was pretty revealing. In fact, he revealed that
he once had his "Little Elvis" insured with Lloyd's of London. Click the picture
of DLR and enjoy the video!
This is one of the greatest April Fools pranks of all time - the BBC did it back in
1957, when there wasn't really any way to find out if they were fibbin'. No internet,
no cell phones....people kept calling to ask how to grow their own spaghetti tree.
The BBC told them "place a spring of spaghetti in a tin of tomato sauce and hope
for the best"
This is absolutely hysterical. I've seen the video of the dog eating at a
restaurant, and this one is along those lines, but the guy making the video
is just as funny as the dog who stars in it
Avery Molek is six years old and has been playing drums since he was four. Watch him
tear it up on Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher"
Cinderella frontman Tom Keifer is releasing his first ever solo album,
"The Way Life Goes", on April 30th. Check out the video from the track
"Solid Ground"
If you're thinking about investing in real estate and you have $42 million to
spare, have I got a deal for you. 7,452 square feet in the Soho area of New
York City. It's a sweet duplex formerly inhabited by Jon Bon Jovi. Yep, he's
selling his place - five bedrooms, five and a half baths, three terraces, huge
windows with an amazing view, 11 foot ceilings. And it's a steal, because the
original asking price was $45 million. You like?

There are two bands calling themselves Queensryche these days. The version
of Queensryche featuring lead singer Todd La Torre has released
"Redemption," which is the first track from a new album with the new
vocalist. The album will be released on June 10. Check out the new tune and
see how you feel about it - wonder what Geoff Tate thinks?
