Talk about luck – on June 15th, Randy Williams of Greenville won a $518,774  Cash 5 jackpot . He said he was going to buy his mom a house with the money, and she even went with him to claim the winnings. Fast forward to this past Tuesday, when they made another trip to lottery headquarters in Raleigh, because his mom, Peggy Williams, won $500,000 on a Double Diamond Cashword scratch-off ticket.……………. A ton of short-legged dogs recently descended on a beach in Oregon for an annual event called the Corgi Beach Takeover.  The Oregon Humane Society hosts it to raise money for shelters.  Hundreds of corgis were there this year……………..And finally……………….. 

A woman in Alabama who’s a recovering addict asked her boss if he’d show up at her custody hearing and testify to help her get her kids back.  Instead, he offered to shut down the whole company for a day, so all 70 employees could go tell the judge how great she is. It turned out it wasn’t necessary.  She got custody again!  But everyone’s praising him for the offer.  His name is Tim Cross., and he owns a trucking and logistics company called ETA that’s all about giving people second chances.  Most of his employees are in recovery for drugs or alcohol.
