A 97-year-old woman in Massachusetts named Marie Erickson doesn’t drive anymore, but misses it. So for her birthday, she scrimped and saved to buy herself the one thing she’s always wanted . . . a John Deere riding mower. Her advice to people is this: No matter your age, “you’re never too old to take out your toys.”……………… O’Tavais Harris got an internship at a fire department in Knoxville, Tennessee this summer . . . then found out the firefighter mentoring him delivered him as a baby 18 years ago. His mom went into labor at home, and a fireman named Kevin Faddis showed up when she called 911. (Here’s a photo of them. Kevin is on the far left.)…………And finally…………
A woman in Washington named Ivy Jacobsen got married this month, and had 15 important men in her life walk her down the aisle. They included her brother, her uncles, some old coaches . . . and the cop who arrested her DAD. She had a rough childhood, and her dad was abusive. She helped get him locked up when she was a teenager, and wanted the cop who put him in jail to be there. It sounds like he made a big impact on her life in more ways than one too . . . because she’s ALSO a cop now, and so is her new husband. (Here’s the video.)
