It’s football season and the fish are biting.  Choices have to be made!  If your choice is fishing – the fishing is great!  Freshwater anglers are catching bass fishing on buzz baits, crank baits, and plastic worms.  The bream are eating crickets, night crawlers and imitation grass hopper lures.  The crappie are hitting on jigs and minnows in thick cover. The catfish are being caught on minnows and cut bait.  

Saltwater anglers are catching good numbers of flounder, croakers, blue fish, spanish mackerel, sea mullet, hogfish, spots, sheep’s head amber jack and puppy drum.

Off shore you can expect to load up on red and silver snapper, triggerfish, amberjack and black sea bass bottom fishing on boats like the Capt Stacy 4 and Carolina Princess  Trolling for kings, wahoo, dolphin, tuna and even a few sailfish are being caught.
