Notre Dame officially reopened this weekend, more than five years after it was ravaged by a terrible fire.  Over 340,000 people from 150 countries donated $891 MILLION to pay for the renovations.  More than 2,500 people gathered for the ceremony on Saturday………… Wisconsin surgeon Dr. T. Clark Gamblin went through chemo and two operations to beat cancer, and is now planning to ring in the new year with a very big trip.  He’s running seven marathons in seven days, on all seven continents.  His first one is in Antarctica January 31st.  He’s doing it to raise money for cancer research, but also to inspire people.  He said he doesn’t think we set our sights high enough these days……..And finally………..

The charity Building Homes for Heroes just gave away its 400th home.  It went to a U.S. Army vet in Texas named Joshua Sager, who was severely injured while deployed in 2015.  He said that he and his wife couldn’t be happier or more grateful for their new home that’s fully paid off.  The founder of the charity launched it shortly after 9/11, and started out doing one home a year.  Now they’re doing an average of one home every eight days.
