Good News

A wealthy do-gooder from Wisconsin just donated $3.5 million to the Milwaukee Art Museum, so kids 12 and under can get in for free.  They asked to remain anonymous, but said they have many “fond memories of visiting the museum with their family throughout their life.”  So they want to make sure ALL kids get to enjoy it……… British researchers came up with a new battery that never has to be charged.  It’s a lab-grown diamond with a tiny piece of radioactive material inside.  The diamond acts like a semiconductor that coverts the radiation into electricity, but also prevents it from escaping and hurting anyone.  It can generate electricity for thousands of years before it runs out.  It could be used in satellites, or in implanted medical devices like pacemakers…….And finally……….

A PA couple named Marjorie Fiterman and Bernie Littman met at a costume party at a senior living facility and now officially hold the world record for oldest couple to marry . . . at a combined age of 202 years old.  They’ve been together a decade and got married in May.  He’ll be 101 in February.  She just turned 103 last month.  Sarah Sicherman, Littman’s granddaughter posted on social media “both had 60-plus years of marriage to their first spouses and found love again at 100 years old!”.
