A family’s 100-pound tortoise survived the Eaton Fire in Altadena.  Their house burned down, but she survived in her burrow out back that’s three feet deep.  Her name is Rocki.  Cops posted a video of the owners being reunited with her…………. An aquarium in Japan closed for renovations last month, and employees noticed a massive sunfish wasn’t doing so hot.  It stopped eating and seemed sick, but it turned out it was just lonely.  Someone suggested it might just miss seeing people come visit.  So employees put a bunch of carboard cutouts next to its tank, and it’s doing much better now……………And finally………………  

Forest rangers and conservation police saved a moose that fell through the ice on a lake in Upstate New York.  It was 200 feet offshore, and they’re not light animals, so they couldn’t just lift it out.  They put on cold water rescue gear and used a chainsaw to carve a channel in the ice, and got the moose to swim to shallow water.  Then it climbed out on its own and ran off into the woods.
