A CA couple, Brian McShea and Stephanie Raynor, lost their house in the Eaton Fire, but they’re in the news thanks to one thing that survived it.  They were sifting through the rubble when Brian found the ENGAGEMENT ring he recently bought.  Stephanie didn’t know about it.  He proposed to her right there on the spot. (She said yes.)…………. Xenon, which can be used as a general anesthetic. has been found to have the potentially added benefit of stimulating a neuroprotective effect against Alzheimer’s disease. A recent study in mice found it stimulated the brain’s resident immune system, which can protect against Alzheimer’s. Volunteers are currently being enrolled for a trial on dosage and safety……………..And finally………. 

Declan LeBaron, an eight-year-old kid in Philly, has juvenile arthritis, and he’s been in the hospital 17 times .  An internet doo-gooder, Zachery Dereniowski, aka MDMotivator, does nice stuff for deserving people, and his followers recently suggested he do something for Declan, who loves the Eagles.  Declan was walking around a Dollar Store with his mom when Zach walked up and offered him $1,000, or a “mystery bird” gift. He chose the mystery gift, then found out it was two tickets to the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.  He’d never even been to a regular NFL game, so he was amped.  Zach also gave him the $1,000, which Declan promptly handed out to random customers at the store.
