Ohio State football’s “#1 fan” is celebrating their national championship by handing out 16 $500 scholarships to kids in northwest Ohio who are heading to OSU.  His name is Jon Peters, but he goes by “Big Nut.” His wife started calling him a “big nut” for how crazy he got watching games, and the nickname stuck.  He’s 64, and he’s not super-rich.  He describes himself as a “blue-collar guy.”  He’s worked at a Whirlpool factory for four decades, but he’s handed out $330,000 in scholarships over the years, with some of the money coming from sales of his Big Nut BBQ Sauces and Pickles
