A Michigan man bought his 26-year-old daughter a lottery ticket, and she said she was surprised when he handed it to her. He said it was a “just because gift” . . . and when she scratched it, she won $4 million……………….A TN high school senior, Chance Usher-Smith, just won homecoming king.  He’s popular, so it’s not a surprise, but it’s in the news because he’s the school’s first deaf student to win it. There’s a video of his classmates doing “silent applause.”  You put both hands in the air and shake them, kind of like jazz hands…………… 

While last week’s tragic medical jet crash in Philadelphia killed one person on the ground and injured more than two dozen, a young hero emerged. One of those injured was Trey Howard, a heroic 10-year-old boy.  He was in his dad’s car when a piece of metal flew in like a bullet and hit him in the head.  It only hit him because he was shielding his little sister to protect her. It was touch and go in the hospital, and he needed brain surgery, but he survived.  After he woke up, he wondered if he’d missed the Super Bowl, and also asked “Daddy, did I save my sister?”
