Firefighters in Denver handed out 1,000 coats to help kids stay warm this winter. They worked with a nonprofit called Operation Warm. They handed out 600 coats last year, so they almost doubled their total this time…………….. Employees at the Pittsburgh airport used social media to reunite a six-year-old with her stuffed animal that got left behind. They posted a video of workers taking good care of it after they found it in baggage claim last Monday. They ended up posting a second video of her great-grandparents picking it up………………And finally…………..
Naming bugs, rats, and neutered cats after your ex was a big trend for Valentine’s Day again this year. The idea caught fire a while back and raises lots of money for shelters, zoos, and other great causes. “The New York Post” did a round-up. One bird rescue place in Alaska ran a promo called “Love Hurts“, where you could name a rat after your ex and have a bird eat it for $100. They say it raised over $18,000.
