An 18-year-old Utah kid named Luke Herbert had to quit baseball when he got diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.  But how’s this for switching gears?  He just became the first kid from Utah to get a scholarship for cornhole.  He’s playing for Winthrop University in South Carolina.  They’re widely seen as having the best cornhole program in the country………….. An eight-year-old kid in Alaska saved his great-grandmother from a fire last week.  Their home went up in the middle of the night.  But he jumped 10 feet from a window, ran and got help, and got her out.  Doctors treated her for burns on her arm, but she’ll be okay……………And finally…………… 

Some MN Burger King employees paid tribute to a longtime customer by having his name engraved on his favorite chair, and it now stands in their dining room.  Jerry Parkin recently passed away at 91, and the BK crew showed up to his funeral with the chair.  Jerry used to meet up with friends for coffee there every morning, and had his 90th birthday there.  He even asked for chicken nuggets and a shake for his last meal.  All the employees loved him, so they got corporate to approve an engraving on the back of his chair, which has the 91-year-old veteran’s name, along with the dates of his birth and death.
