A Las Vegas company helped rescue a young cat stranded on the side of an overpass for three weeks.  Helix Electric hires out electricians, and the CEO’s daughter got him to send a boom lift to get someone up high enough to grab it.  They used two nets to catch the cat, and got him to a vet.  He was dehydrated and very thin, but okay and they paid tribute to the company by naming him Helix………..A CO three-year-old  saved his great-grandma after she fell last month and hit her head.  It happened next to some steps outside her home, and her phone was in the car, so she told him to be brave and go get it for her.  He was scared because it was dark out, but he came through.  There’s security cam footage, and you can hear him tell himself, “Don’t be afraid.” Great gran ended up with a concussion and 22 staples in her head, but she’ll be okay……………And finally………….

Boki, the first brown bear to have brain surgery is doing well.  A zoo in England did it back in October after vets found hydrocephalus – a build-up of fluid in the brain.  It was right before he went into hibernation, so they had to wait until he woke up to see how he was doing.  It appears that he slept it off and made a full recovery. The zookeeper said “It’s like he’s forgotten that he’s had the operation, I don’t think anyone’s told him, and he’s charging around being the young, lovable bear that everybody knows and loves. And it’s just so fantastic to see.”
