How’s this for crossing party lines?  A Democratic politician in Idaho named Brooke Green is fighting breast cancer.  So, a few weeks ago, a group of GOP lawmakers shaved their heads in solidarity.  She said she never expected such a touching show of support……….. Over a year ago, a lost and sick gray cat was left at an IN vet clinic.  She was taken to a shelter, nursed back to health and adopted. Unfortunately, the new owner returned her, and the cat seemed depressed, started struggling and became withdrawn.  Last week, a woman named Erianna was looking at the shelter’s website, and when she saw the gray cat, she realized it was HER cat “November,” who had gone missing over a year ago.  Erianna rushed over to the shelter, confirmed it was her cat, and they were both thrilled to be reunited……..And finally………………. 

To help give kids confidence in public speaking and increase literacy, a PA barbershop is actually paying their clients to read.  City Cuts Barbershop started a program called “Books by Kids” that pays kids $3 if they read a book out loud while sitting in the chair while the barber cuts their hair. Owner Jon Escueta started the program several year ago with his own $50 and now he’s receiving donations from the community to help keep the program going.
