Some psycho tried to drive off in a car with two kids in it near Jacksonville, Florida last month.  But more than a dozen Good Samaritans jumped in and stopped him.   Cops caught the guy later the same day and arrested him…….. Pets can be expensive, but a new study found they’re more than worth it.  British researchers looked at how much happier we are when we have a pet, and they managed to put a dollar figure on it.  They say having a dog or cat makes you as happy as you’d be earning an extra $90,000 a year.  So, the next time you’re spending your hard-earned cash on pet food, just remember, you’d be miserable without them……………….And finally……………. 

Hundreds of bookworms near Ann Arbor, MI turned out to help an independent bookstore move into a new location recently.  Serendipity Books needed to move into a bigger location around the corner from the old one, so more than 300 people lined up and moved one book at a time like a human conveyor belt.  They moved over 9,000 books in two hours, and kept them all in alphabetical order.  The owner says she would have had to close down for several days if she’d done it the normal way.  (Here’s a video.)
