It’s very expensive to have kids in America, but Tennessee is offering some relief. Tennessee’s Medicaid program will start covering 100 diapers a month for newborns, infants, and one-year-olds. According to the National Diaper Bank Network, 92% of the families receiving diapers in Tennessee ARE working, and are still unable to afford enough of them. Tennessee is the first state to help families with free diapers……. A farmer in Manitoba, Canada had a surplus of potatoes . . . so he donated potatoes to organizations across North America. And this was a HUGE surplus, we’re talking 12 MILLION POUNDS OF POTATOES…………….And finally…………
In March, Las Vegas Metro Police K-9 Enzo was airlifted to Las Vegas Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care after a suspect stabbed him multiple times. After several days of special attention and a blood transfusion, Enzo was healthy enough to go home with his handler. The vet involved said that they can go through six or more units of blood a day, and they always need doggie donors. It takes five to 10 minutes, rarely requires sedation, and the blood is stored until it’s needed when a dog is shot, stabbed or hit by a car. Each donation could save two canine lives like Enzo’s.
