It’s frustrating that a cure for cancer has been so elusive, but we have to celebrate every achievement along the way.  And THIS could be big.  Scientists have just identified 618 proteins in blood, which are linked to 19 types of the disease, including bowel, prostate, and breast cancers. This might make it possible to warn people of cancer more than seven years before it is diagnosed.  It’s early, but doctors hope this could be a “crucial first step” towards offering preventative therapies………. An alert school bus driver in Canada named Terrie Brown is being hailed a hero after avoiding a potential disaster.  He was on the highway when an 18-wheeler hauling rocks drove off an overpass and landed right in front of him.  But he slammed on the brakes and managed to stop with only a FOOT to spare……….And finally…… 

A five-year-old from NY named Jordan Marotta was born without a left hand, and he’s way cooler than his friends after he just got a bionic arm that looks like Iron Man’s arm.  Jordan’s non-invasive prosthetic was molded to attach and detach from where his left arm ends, and electrodes and sensors detect muscle contractions and respond with appropriate hand and finger movements. His first stop after the medical office was at his school to show his classmates. His mom said “This really makes him feel good. He’s so confident. He was glowing.”
