New York’s famous Serendipity 3 restaurant did something nice for a longtime customer this weekend.  Barbara Silverstein has been going there ever since they first opened in 1954.  So, 70 YEARS. For National Ice Cream Day, they created a special dessert called the Barbara Silverstein Sundae:  Three scoops of coffee ice cream with hot fudge, caramel, salted caramel crumbs, and whipped cream………..A smart watch helped save a 49-year-old swimmer’s life after he got stuck in rough ocean waters in Australia recently. He used the emergency function on the watch as he was struggling to tread water………And finally………….. 

A police dog near Charlotte, NC helped get a lost little boy home after someone spotted him walking down a road all alone this month.  The kid is around six, and couldn’t tell cops where he lived because he’s autistic and non-verbal. They decided to see if a bloodhound named Remi could do a “reverse K-9 track,” which isn’t done often – that’s where they work backward and try to figure out where a person WAS instead of where they ARE. In 15 minutes, Remi found the kid’s house a half-mile away.  It turned out he’d snuck out, and his parents had no idea.
