The Ice Bucket Challenge turns 10 this month. It launched in August of 2014, and it’s raised $220 MILLION over the past decade to help find a cure for ALS. The guy who started it was Pete Frates, who lost his battle with ALS in 2019. His family is hoping to relaunch the challenge in full force this month to raise more money. They just did a big event at Fenway Park in Boston yesterday………….. A 26-year-old grad student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City spent a year living at a senior living facility, where she would share her love of music and playing the piano with the residents . . . in exchange for FREE room and board. A Las Vegas woman just got her dog back nine years after he went missing. He’s an 11-year-old chihuahua named Gizmo who slipped past a faulty gate in the backyard. A vet scanned his microchip and got in touch on July 17, after a good Samaritan spent two months trying to catch Gizmo. He’s apparently been living on the streets for the past nine years, and he’s got some health issues, but he’s recovering. People online have donated over $5,000 to help cover the vet bills.
