A guy in Mebane, NC bought a house, then hit the lottery the next day for $440,000.  He says when he closed on the house, someone made a joke that he could lower his monthly payment if he ever won the lottery. He’s using the money to pay off his house and go on a big fishing trip.  He says he’ll save whatever’s left…………… A 102-year-old woman named Manette Baillie just became Britain’s oldest skydiver, and raised more than $13,000 for charity in the process.  Two years ago, she marked her 100th birthday by racing a Ferrari on an official Grand Prix track.  Her advice to people is “always look for something new” . . . and “don’t forget to party.”………………And finally……..  

A story is making the rounds about Justin Padgett, a fifth-grade teacher in KY, who adopted one of his students.  It all started in 2021 when kids returned to school after the pandemic shutdowns.  A student named Jayden had fallen behind, so Justin gave him some extra tutoring, found out he was in foster care, and Jayden ASKED if he’d adopt him.  So Justin went home and told his wife about it. They’d been trying to have kids, but it never happened – and they decided to adopt Jayden, along with all three of his siblings as well.  The adoption became official in 2022, and they’re all one big happy family.
