Lyft is offering discounts to help get people to the polls today.  Use the code “VOTE24” to get up to $10 off Election Day rideshares, bikes, and scooters.  It’s called the Lyft Up Voting Access Program and they’ve been doing it since 2014. Uber and Lime have similar deals today………………. An elementary school in central MO recently renamed its building after their longtime custodian.  Her name is Claudene Wilson.  She worked there for over 30 years, and everyone loved her, so the school decided to honor her after she retired in July.  The main building is now called the Claudene Wilson Learning Center……………….And finally………… 

Eddy Alvarez, a retired construction worker in FL is in the news, because he spends his days keeping stray dogs alive.  He’s been doing it for years, and brings them food seven days a week. He’s currently feeding around 25 dogs a day.  He also gives them shots and flea meds, and tries to get them adopted out.  He got pretty emotional and teared up when a reporter asked why he does it.  He said pets are just humanity’s “greatest gift.”
