Good News

Pretty much everyone in the south got a bunch of snow this week.  Now someone’s raising money for charity with a t-shirt that says, “I Survived the Florida Blizzard of 2025.”  They cost $33, and all the proceeds go to fight homelessness……………Speaking of cold weather:  A teacher from England ran a marathon in Norway while dressed as a polar bear.  She broke the record for fastest “ice marathon” dressed as a mammal, and raised $25,000 for cancer research.  She lost her dad to cancer in ’99, and she’s raised over $2 million since then…………And finally……………

A contractor named Jake Jarvis owns Precision Grading, a construction company that has been doing free construction work ever since Hurricane Helene tore through in September.  He was the first to clear roads after the storm, and he’s built bridges to give people better access.  Jarvis has also done a lot of free demolition, so people can rebuild, paying for it with donations, and money from his own savings. Right now, he’s working on a list of over 30 people who need his help, and he says he has no end date.
