A guy in Maryland was helping his mom move some furniture when he found five old lottery tickets.  And one hit for $50,000.  She said she bought the tickets as stocking stuffers last Christmas.  The two of them split the money…………….A kid in Indiana named Toby Lannert jumped into action and saved a high-school teacher who collapsed.  He and the school nurse took care of the teacher until an ambulance showed up.  It was good practice because he’s training to be a paramedic……….And finally………………….. 

KY man Kody Smith spent this past Sunday navigating floodwaters to save dogs, cats and even kittens stranded by the rising water, after major flooding hit the state. Water levels were hitting rooftops and windows, so Smith jumped into action.  Accompanied by a friend, he used a boat to reach flooded homes, where animals had taken shelter from the rising waters. Having lived in that area once, Smith empathized with families forced to evacuate quickly—often unable to find or bring their pets along in the chaos. At one home, they parked the boat on the roof and found the pets floating in a tote bin.
